Ad: Adam Hammes - “Sustainable Business in Iowa” - April 25th
Adam Hammes, author and executive director of the Iowa Sustainable Business Forum (ISBF), will present a lecture on sustainable business practices and the advantages of corporate environmental and social responsibility. The lecture begins at 7 p.m. April 25 in UPS Auditorium in the Lincoln Center, 3627 Peters Ave., on the Morningside College campus. The lecture is free and open to the public.
Hammes is a Des Moines-based sustainability consultant who recently published his second book, “Sustainable Business in Iowa: How Leading Companies Profit from Environmental and Social Responsibility.” In the book, Hammes features case studies of more than 30 Iowa companies and draws from his experience as the first manager of sustainability for Kum & Go and his work with ISBF.
His first book, “Stress-Free Sustainability: Leverage Your Emotions, Avoid Burnout and Influence Anyone,” was published in 2014. He also teaches an MBA course on corporate social responsibility and sustainability for the University of Iowa Tippie College of Business.
