Understanding Your Financial Aid

Explore financial aid programs on Morningside’s main website.

To ensure its affordable prices, Morningside College provides a customized financial aid package for each student. Scholarships, grants and/or need-based assistance are awarded to all first time, full time students of Morningside. 

Need-based assistance is based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Complete this form online after your taxes have been completed each year, and request your information be sent to Morningside College (Federal School Code Number 001879). To view an estimator of your family’s need level go to www.finaid.org/calculators.


For Freshmen

Incoming freshmen may qualify for aid based on: 

  • Academic excellence
    • Based on GPA and ACT score
  • Talent Awards for excellence in:
    • Art
    • Athletics
    • eSports
    • Music (Instrumental, Vocal, Show Choir, Color Guard, Jazz, Keyboard)
    • Theatre
  • Need-based assistance (determined by FAFSA)​​

    • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant
    • Morningside Pell Enhancement Grant
    • Iowa Tuition Grant
