May-August are the months in which we have our annual performance review discussions and below is the information that you need to begin the planning and review process.
The performance review process is an opportunity for employees and supervisors to have an open and honest dialogue about the employee's performance for the past year and to set goals for the coming year. By working together and opening the lines of communication, supervisors and employees can clarify expectations for one another to keep their department productive and effective. While discussions should be ongoing throughout the year, the annual review provides a chance to document the achievements and development opportunities for each employee. Reviews should be thought of as tool that can strengthen the collaboration between a supervisor and their team.
The annual performance review period covers June 1, 2016 to May 31, 2017
- The time frame for meeting with employees and conducting performance reviews needs to be completed by the end of August.
