All full-time undergraduate students are enrolled in the Notebook Computer Program. See Policies & Agreements for complete information on the program. All students are responsible for the agreement and policy information content of these forms & documents.

The purpose of the Student Notebook Program (SNP) is to provide a level playing field for all students in:  software and image consistency, hardware consistency, technology refresh, warranty support, loaner computers, hardware and software support, and accidental damage protection. The goal behind the program is to provide the student (and the parent) with the best technology experience possible, worry-free support, loaner computer if repairs are needed, and an earned computer upon graduation with one year of the warranty remaining.

Highlights of the program include:

  • Up-to-date laptop with a three-year limited warranty (Apple Care+, deductibles apply)
  • Choice of Operating Systems; Mac OS or Windows OS (Both operating systems by special request)
  • Standard software suite (Microsoft Office) loaded with virus protection (with updates)
  • On campus walk-in technical support
  • Use of a loaner computer for extended repairs
  • In-house access for hardware repair or software maintenance
  • Help Desk services 712-274-5544
  • Campus-wide wireless network and high-speed internet access
  • Moodle, Campus Web, Google Apps and other College related tools and resources
  • Print stations in residence halls, academic buildings, and learning center
  • Technology refresh with a computer replacement in Junior year
  • Apple TV ® in every classroom
  • Campus Library and online resources
